Episode 05: Chennai

“Over the next seven days, our crew would look to perform our first show in the city, create a targeted marketing campaign, shoot a music video, conduct radio interviews, shoot another music video, conduct a large photoshoot, stay out of the hospital (dropped the ball here), shoot one more music video, travel to a remote village for one MORE photoshoot, and then perform our most important show to date. Creatively speaking, it’d be the most demanding week of my life but one that I can proudly say I was built to execute.”

Episode 04: Tokyo

“Being in Tokyo highlighted the importance of discipline for me; that even the simplest of tasks deserve intention. That nothing in the process should be an after thought. You do what you need to do with the best of efforts and trim the fat where you can. I mean, think about all the things that we produce and deconstruct the individual pieces that go into the production itself; can we make any of those steps more efficient? More intentional? More disciplined? This city just permeated that lesson into some deep parts of my psyche and it has led to some truly beautiful things.”

Episode 03: Iceland

“This country has been shot to death. It seems like every influencer and creator has been to Iceland to capture these iconic images, and it’s easy to get discouraged to create. But you can’t let yourself believe that, no matter where you are. You have to be able to create often, and when you don’t feel like creating, well, creating in *those* times actually counts as double. Yes, you’re keeping score. Going to the gym in the winter counts as double. Meditating when life is falling apart counts as double. And being able to flex your creative muscles when your ego is saying your a punk-ass, shit for brains, good for nothing, fuck-wad, shit on a stick… that too counts as double.”

Episode 02: London

“Bourdain made the idea of layovers sexy. The ability to make a pit stop in a city before your destination and recharge from it’s atmosphere has this seduction to it, especially if you travel often. And that’s why I elected to make a stop in London for a day before a three-week stint across India. I wanted to squeeze a little more from this trip and coming back to one of my favourite cities in the world would do just the trick. Here’s the thing about London that makes it especially attractive for me: you have this historic city rooted in industrialism, monarchy, and violence that is being bombarded by multiculturalism, technology, and rebellion against the status quo.”

Episode 01: Mumbai

"Mumbai is such a great city to be a photographer in because you really can interact with your surroundings and capture such beautiful colours, textures, and stories. And listen, you have to have some semblance of street smarts, but this is not a place where your life is constantly in danger. Far from it. So often you can approach people and dialog with them and really capture some rich moments. Personally, I’d encourage that."
